Thailand

At the aquarium

As you can see, you could get right up to the animals to feed them. Bailey was a little unsure.

When Bailey was born I brought back her 2, 3, 6, and 9 month shots back with us to Kunming. Safe vaccines are difficult to come by where we live so it was necessary that we buy her's in Thailand. At 12 months Bailey was due for another round of shots so we had to head back. She was also in desperate need for a check up since the clinic we used to go to closed a couple of months ago. Last week the three of us headed to Chiang Mai, Thailand, the city where Bailey was born, to get check ups, shots, and have a little vacation. It was so fun to be back. I lived there for seven weeks in 2007 waiting for Bailey to be born and then waiting for her paper work to be processed so we could go back to China. It was like coming back to an old friend who I had shared lots of secrets and a life changing experience with. Chiang Mai is quaint, small city with great food and friendly people. Bailey is doing well. She's right on track for her weight, but they said she's on the tall side for height. However, I think this might have something to do with the fact that they're putting her on the chart for Thai children and not Americans. Americans are definately bigger than Thai people! Aside from the check ups, we had a great time relaxing and enjoying the warm weather. We went to the Chiang Mai Zoo and Aquarium and also did a little bit of shopping. We had a great time!
