Mirror mirror on the wall.... or maybe not
In the process of preparing the dance studio we ordered mirrors to cover both the front and back walls of the studio. Yesterday the company came to install them. Unfortunately the people that came had absolutely no idea how to put large mirrors on a wall. When I came down to check on the progress, one mirror was already completely broken. As I was standing there I heard a loud crack and turned around to find another mirror falling off the wall!!! After this it was all we could do to get the guys to call their boss and get him to come over. The workers kept blaming the breaking mirrors on the wall!! After three hours of waiting for the mirror boss, he finally showed up and determined that, yes, his workers had done it ALL WRONG. My question, why did he send them in the first place? They have to pay for the broken mirrors! They took all the mirrors down and started putting the ones that were still intact up the "correct" way. However, once again, a silly worker tried to pick up one by himself, it was too heavy so it fell to the side a little and hit one of the other mirrors. Now a third mirror was broken. Ahhh!!! Needless to say, the boss had to do all of the rest of the work himself, and supply us with three new mirrors. In the end I made friends with his daughter who had come along to help and invited her to our English Corner at Chicago Coffee tonight. The mirrors are now up- CORRECTLY- and they look great. What a completely not cost effective way to do business!!!
